About Me

IPodologist with heart, hand, and attitude 👣

I was at a turning point in my life:
Should I go back to my old job or take the risk of training in a completely new field with a baby?

I decided to train as a foot care specialist. In Austria, this is an apprenticeship. Later, I attended master school and founded my first company: a mobile foot care practice.
But life doesn't always go as planned. I moved to Germany and built a new life here. In 2012, I passed the exam to become a podologist and opened my first practice with health insurance accreditation.
Over time, numerous other qualifications were added, including as a wound expert, naturopath, and lecturer in healthcare.

Additionally, since 2017 I have been active on social media with my own channels on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

My goal is to explain foot problems in an understandable way, alleviate fear and shame, and help people seek the right support earlier. At the same time, I want to demonstrate the value of this profession, inspire young people to pursue podiatry, and empower colleagues with practical knowledge. For me, my channels are more than just social media. They represent education, professional advocacy, knowledge sharing, and a contribution to ensuring foot health is taken more seriously.
Later, I deliberately relinquished my public health insurance accreditation and now work in my small, private practice.
For many years, I have also written professional columns, sharing my thoughts on current developments, challenges, and visions in podiatry honestly, practically, and with the aim of advancing our profession without losing its roots

Today, 20 years later, I am a podiatrist with all my heart and soul. In my daily work, I combine medical expertise with human closeness and a keen eye for the future of our profession. Whether it's classic treatments, preventative foot care, or collaborating with doctors on complex medical conditions, I stand for modern, reflective podiatry on equal footing.
For me, good podiatry is more than technique or therapy.
It means genuine encounters, attentive listening, and responsible action, every single day.

Because podiatry is evolving. And we shouldn't just keep up, but bravely lead the way.

"Feet carry us through life, and those who treat them should stand on solid ground themselves."Podiatrist Andrea

In addition to my practice, the transfer of knowledge is particularly important to me.

I regularly design advanced training courses for colleagues, develop practical online courses, and appear as a speaker at trade fairs and events. Whether in workshops, lectures, or panel discussions, I love direct exchange, professional discussions, and the opportunity to work together on the future of our profession.

My goal is not only to impart specialist knowledge but to convey it in a comprehensible, lively, and practice-oriented manner.

Because podiatry continues to evolve. And we should not only keep pace but boldly lead the way.
